Love Thy Neighbor?

Or Not?

How many people actually even "half-like" their neighbors?

I think you actually borderline hate your neighbors?

My neighbors LOATHE ENTIRELY the occupants of the structure adjacent their own.

Not gonna write a book about it, but today might be a turning point. They might actually start to "half-hate" us.

Again, not writing a book, or holding my breath, or saying I'm completely guilt free in also not loving them.

My crazed husband, brandishing a small firearm, and the rest of the neighborhood went back to sleep this morning, peacefully, without the "insane-incapable of telling time-good for nothing"..... Roosters.

My fine and dandy egg laying chickens don't need to be Rooster molested anymore anyways.

Don't get all PETA, they were happy healthy, semi free range, roosters, that will now be an impromptu and tasty dinner.

You're welcome neighbors.

Full Swing Summer Garden!

Sometimes I forget I have a blog.

When I do remember I have one sometimes I forget it's supposed to be about gardening and vegetables.

Last night I remembered why we are so crazy about the food we grow and why we love it so much.

We had six vegetables with dinner, squash, eggplant, okra, portobello mushrooms, all grilled just a little olive oil and some garlic salt. Green beans and corn was just boiled.

The mushrooms were the only thing we didn't grow ourselves and as soon as I live in the right climate I'm starting my portobello farm right away, anyways, WE LOVE VEGGIES, cantcha tell?

My mom served us up a healthy vegetable appetite, and I'm glad it's something my husband sees important as well. Add some more to your plate and decrease your steak, stay with meat the size of your palm and fill yourself on veg, your body will say thanks!

We love it, Bug eats everything, Bear gets cut up green beans, eggplant, the things that can be handled easily by my almost one year old girl!

What's your favorite summer garden vegetable to grill up?

What's your kid's favorite vegetable? How many ways do you eat it?

Dear Ella Bug,

You are asleep and after writing in your book thought I'd write you a letter.
I can't believe you turned 3 today. And when you turn 30 I won't be able to believe that either.
You are so advanced in every aspect of your little life you are amazing. amazing. I love you so much, and I love being loved by you.
You kiss me for no reason and wrap your little arms around me and tell me that you love me and that you are happy.
You melt my heart with your emotion towards me and our family. You love your Daddy and you love your little sister!! She lights up just looking at you and is going to look up to you her whole life.
You are three years old and you love and care and are kind, unlike anyone your age. We are lucky to have you.
(We are lucky to have you even when you are being a smart awnry stinker!)
I am lucky to be your mom and I can't wait for tomorrow when you wake up and we get to read your new books and play with new toys and have fun talks all day. Most of all I have a feeling you are going to play dress up all day with your new fancy dresses. Maybe we'll paint our fingernails and put makeup on :)
You had such a great birthday day today. Gramy came over and helped us get ready for the party! You mean so much to all of us, Bug.
I love you my big three year old birthday girl!

P.S. Dear Ella,
At your first birthday I threw out the bottle and we never looked back.
Before your second birthday we had thrown out the pacifier.
By your third birthday I told Dad you would be sleeping in your own room in your own bed... Oh bummer.
Oh well, he loves us anyways!
